Brew traditional Lapacho South American cold remedy at home

Blessed Herbs Pau d’Arco bark is 1 pound of cut, wild-harvested Tabebuia heptaphylla bark from Brazil. Pau d’Arco is native to South America, where it is taken as a remedy for fungal and yeast infections, eczema and other illnesses. Traditionally brewed into a tea called Lapacho, Pau d’Arco contains Lapachol and beta-lapachone, two active compounds that (among others) lend the plant its medicinal properties.

Pau d’Arco has been used to relieve signs and symptoms of fungal infections, but is also reported to have antibacterial and antiviral properties that can even rival some western medicines. Pau d’Arco (Lapacho) tea is a traditional remedy during cold and flu season, and may be taken as a natural expectorant, in order to help to clear the lungs.
